Yes we are still playing softball and baseball.
Caedan finished up his t-ball career with a nice hit up the middle.
Why does he always have his tongue out?
His last slide of the season into home plate. I for one am happy to say goodbye to t-ball!
Our day at Safeco field for little league day included a walk around the playing field before the game started.
Caedan was lucky enough to get this guy's autograph at the game. If you know who this is can you let me know? I am sure that the autograph would be a lot cooler if we knew who it was.
Olivia finished up 4th grade and is now one of the big kids at her school.
Once the regular softball season finished up we started the all-star season. Olivia played on the 9-10 all-star team. The all-star team is an even bigger commitment than the regular season. There is a two hour practice every night except for on game nights, when they started warm-ups and batting practice two hours before first pitch. With a schedule like that I am sure you can figure out who the coach was.
On June 28th we had to unexpectedly say goodbye to Ganik. We knew that he was getting old but we didn't realize that he also had a huge tumor growing on his liver. Everyone misses him a lot and there is an absence around the house. With the all star tournament in full swing we didn't have much chance to dwell on his passing and we are now adjusting to our life without a him. No one greets us at the gate when we get home. We have to cleanup after ourselves when we spill food on the floor and there is no one there to lick our plates clean. But I am sure that the chickens feel a little safer now.
I am sure that you are all wondering if the softball season will ever end. I guess that you will have to check in at the end of July to find out.
