July 2013

What???  There is an end to the softball/baseball season.

The all-star season surprisingly ended up with Olivia's team playing in the district 8 championship game.

Meeting on the mound.

After a second place finish the girls were pretty excited to recieve their metals.

The all-star team participated in a 4th of July parade to celebrate a successful season.

Someone waited a very long time for the parade to start.

The best part of being in a parade is passing out the candy to the kids.

When the busy softball season ended we found ourselves with some free time.  Possibly with some inspiration from the Tour de France we headed out on some bike rides.  The Connor Caravan has gone on a 25, 30 and just this past weekend a 37 mile ride.  Robert thinks that he is training us for a century ride (100 miles).  The rest of us are not as sure about that.  Don't you think that the Connor Caravan would look great in matching jersey's?  We are still working on convincing Robert that this would be a good idea.

The mid-way stop on our last ride happened to be at Cupcake Royal for some refueling.  That is the kind of incentive you need to get your 9 year old to push through a nearly four hour bike ride

 Frosting first!

Olivia and a softball teammate joined the boys for some summer baseball.  Olivia tried pitching a couple of times.

Not just a coach but an umpire also.

 Caedan's quote of the month:
Caedan slow down you are going to fast.
I can't, speed is my passion.

With the end of July also comes the end of our softball and baseball seasons.  August is looking to include some family trips, a birthday, and a fun trip with some friends.
